In 2024, on January 17, Samsung Galaxy will hold its initial Unpacked event, the South Korean technology company announced on Wednesday. In addition to being live-streamed on all Samsung official channels, this event will also be held in person at the SAP Center in San Jose. It is believed that the event will feature the upcoming Galaxy S phone generation, which is most likely going to be dubbed the Galaxy S24.
For the upcoming phones, the brand is now taking pre-orders. This year’s Unpacked event from Samsung is early because the company’s last two top-of-the-line phones that aren’t foldable were released in February. On February 1, 2023, the Galaxy S23 series was released, and on February 9, 2022, the Galaxy S22 lineup made its debut.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 time live stream details
On Wednesday, January 17, the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event will take place at the SAP in San Jose, California, starting at 11.30 p.m. IST and 1.00 p.m. EST. As with previous Galaxy Unpacked events, the company’s YouTube channel and Newsroom website will both stream the event live. There have been some previous rumours including this date.
The Galaxy S24 lineup, which is Samsung’s next generation of Galaxy S smartphones, is anticipated to be revealed at the event. The invitation’s tagline, “Galaxy AI is coming,” refers to the latest flagship series’ built-in AI capabilities, which are rumoured to include the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra models. According to the company, the upcoming Galaxy S series “will raise the bar for the smartest mobile experience to date.” Additionally, “an all-new mobile experience powered by AI” has been hinted at.
Furthermore, through its India website, Samsung has launched a reservation programme for the Galaxy S24 series. To secure the phones as soon as possible, interested users can pay Rs. 1,999 to sign up for the VIP pass.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series specifications
One UI 6.1, based on Android 14, and AMOLED LTPO screens with variable refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz are expected to be features of Samsung’s Galaxy S24 family. The regular models may have 50-megapixel triple camera units, but the Ultra variant is rumoured to have a 200-megapixel quad camera setup.
The Galaxy S24 could run on the company’s exclusive Exynos 2400 chip everywhere but the US and Canada. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy is the name given to the modified Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC that the phone may come with in the US and Canada. In contrast, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for Galaxy is probably going to be included in the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S24+ for all markets.
